Where are your hats made?
Every hat is handcrafted in Sarasota, Florida. Cut, stitched, and finished by hand. Slowly, one at a time. Slight variations in pattern placement, color, and texture are characteristic of the handmade process and the vintage nature of our textiles. These aren't imperfections, they're what make each piece one of a kind.
How do your drops work?
We release new hats in limited drops approximately every month. Each drop features two to three designs, with only a handful of hats per design across sizes. When they're gone, they're gone. The towel they came from was one of a kind. Join our Inner Circle to be notified first.
Can I send you my own towel?
This is one of our favorite things to do. A grandmother's beach towel, a honeymoon souvenir, a textile you've been holding onto without knowing why. Send it to us and we'll transform it into a hat you'll wear for decades. Email hello@faustinefinegoods.com to get started.
Do you make children's sizes?
Yes! Our Mommy & Me collection features coordinated adult and children's hats cut from the same vintage towel. The same pattern, the same history, sized for you and the daughter who'll inherit it. Available through our custom order service.
How long does a Made to Order hat take?
Custom hats are handmade one at a time. Please allow 3- 6 weeks from order to delivery. If you're sending your own textile, add a few extra days for receiving and assessment. We'll keep you updated throughout the process.
What sizes do you offer?
Our hats come in three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. Visit our Size Guide for measuring instructions. If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up, a slightly relaxed fit feels more like vacation.

How do I care for my hat?
Your hat has been made from a vintage towel.. Washing will not damage the hat but it will wear down the interfacing . We recommend spot cleaning the hat for as long as you can.
Your hat will no doubt accumulate sweat, ocean salt, maybe makeup with use. So when you do need to wash your hat, I’d recommend hand washing in a bucket or the most gentle/hand wash cycle on your washing machine.
After washing your hat, it may be a bit floppy. If you want a bit more structure in your hat’s brim, break out the iron. With lots of steam iron the brim of the hat and the crown. For shaping the crown, you might want to stuff a wad of a towel inside the hat while ironing.

Returns & exchanges
All sales are final due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our pieces. Each hat is made from a unique vintage towel that cannot be replicated — once it finds its person, that's the match. If your hat arrives damaged, please contact hello@faustinefinegoods.com and we'll make it right.
